Simple Breakfast "Pies"
This recipe is VERY easy and my daughter can not get enough of it! Every
time we make it, she always comes back for more. If she so much as smells it
cooking in the morning, she jumps out of bed! It is excellent before school,
and if you are in a hurry it is even portable and easy to eat!

Heat oven to 350 degrees

12 egg whites or box of just whites equal to 12 egg whites

1/2 unsweetened apple sauce

1 chopped apple

1/4 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 cup of oatmeal (uncooked)

1 tsp on cinnamon or to taste

1/2 tsp of vanilla or maple flavoring

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until moistened and well blended. Pour into a
pie plate that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 30 minutes or
until a cake tester comes out clean. Cut into 8 wedges and serve!

* Sometimes we like to put a little smear of all fruit spread on the top or
maple butter (maple butter is only 60 calories a tbsp and has no fat. A LITTLE
GOES A LONG WAY!)

69.5 calories per slice with only 0.625 grams of fat!

*** you can also try this recipe with a mashed banana in place of applesauce
and add some nutmeg to the cinnamon as well!
